nepeta's cozy cave is, as the cool kids say, my little corner of the interwebz!! it is my safespace, my whimsical wonderland, my coding corner, my cozy cave!!!
as much as the name suggests, this website isn't fully homestuck themed... my identity crumbles a lot and whatever comes out of the rubble chooses the theme :P so expect this site to change a lot!! currently, my website is meant to be remnicient of an old 90s/2000s personal site!! i think it looks pretty neat :3

why'd you make this site? why nepeta?

well, i did it for fun. i did it because i wanted to.

first, a little context. i was born in '06, so i was lucky enough to grow up on the last few years of the 2000s/2010s internet!! back in the days when there were actual safe sites kids could go on to play games (stuff like the old moshi monsters website, bin weevils, the real tooth fairies, old sites dedicated to cartoons, THOSE SITES WITH ALL THOSE OLD FLASH GAMES!!!!), nowadays kids are being exposed to the horrors that is shorts, tiktok + reels...

the internet's just turned from a magical place where you can be yourself on, into an awful, awful corporate mess. there's not really any kid-friendly sites for kids anymore; while the interwebz is a dangerous place in general, it's growing more and more dangerous by the second... also, it's just all social media now...

and that fucking SUCKS, man!!!!!!!! ;___;

and where does all of what i mentioned tie into this site??? well, i'll tell you!!!
i have a HUUUUUGE passion for the early internet, and the late 90s/early 2000s in general. i was (unfortunately) NOTHING but an atom in the late 90s, but something about the early internet just makes me feel very warm and fuzzy inside??? things must've felt a LOT nicer back then, not having the internet shoved down your throat everywhere you go like you do now!! i do kinda wish i was there to experience the early net, but oh well... :(

nepeta's cozy cave is a tribute to the early net in a way??? i also made it as a safespace for myself, social media's kinda stressful nowadays and i just want a place to chill out on without any worries at all!! nostalgia, rainbows, pokemon, deltarune, homestuck & all my interests and hobbies, all in one site!!

i hope you guys like my site, i worked very hard on it and i hope this place brings you as much comfort as it does for me =^__^=
